Rethinking the benefits of Saw Palmetto.

The use of radiation improves survival in patients whose PSA is rising after surgery.  Update

The use of radiation therapy after surgery in select patients (i.e., those with positive margins, extraprostatic extension, and/or seminal vesicle invasion) continues to be of significant benefit.

The addition of radiation therapy to hormonal therapy improved survival in patients with locally advanced prostate cancer.

The addition of long-term hormonal therapy to high-dose radiation therapy reduced metastasis and improved survival from prostate cancer.
